This is amazing! And also very timely as I’m in the middle of a difficult professional season as my son is about to turn two. Didn’t expect to cry, but dang, it’s dusty in here. Cheering you on! Congrats, Jess!
This season feels hard because it is hard! You aren't alone! ♥️ But the good news is that it's just that–a season. Follow your heart, even if it sounds nuts on paper. You got this Ellen!
Congrats Bebe! I’m so happy for you!!!:) started my own journey of this 2-3 years ago, now have a 7K as foot warehouse and containers coming this spring!! Happy to help anyway i can :)
Omg that is AMAZING! and YES I would absolutely love to connect and ask you all the questions!! 🥹 DM me your email or whatever is the best way to connect! THANK YOU Kayla!! ♥️
This is so fun! I love vintage portraits but can never find good ones around here that don’t look like bad paint by numbers projects! Happy hunting! ❤️
As someone who’s returning to work on Monday after having her daughter (and reevaluating everything after spending many afternoons on her mat leave hunting local antique stores) this post resonated more than you can imagine! So looking forward to following along.
I love this so much! I love this idea, I love how it all came together for you, I love that you’re sharing the messy beginning! I’ve been thinking about some big changes in my own life and it feels like this post is its own sign from the universe to just DO IT. Can’t wait to see your first vintage haul!
Wow Jess, this is such a dream! I’m admittedly having some feelings of envy but also super happy and excited for you.
I’ve been sourcing and reselling vintage home goods and art for about 7 years. There is no greater high than the thrill of the hunt for me! Our home is filled with so many special and unique pieces and it brings me such joy.
I started reselling on instagram and at vintage markets when I was finding more than I could realistically keep myself. My IG is @CurateHome. I just had a baby, so I’m on hiatus at the moment.
Love this! Weirdly I’ve thought about doing this as a side hustle for years! You are inspiring me to start. Win-win. Traveling excuse as it’s work! I thought about sourcing things for Morocco or personally shopping for people who don’t want to travel.
Knowing what you are doing is overrated 😁. Last year my husband & I booked a hotel in Reykjavik for NYE with the rationale that we could cancel with no penalty. (We were at a hockey game drinking at the time) Around Halloween we were like, ‘do we cancel the hotel or book a flight?’ NYE in Reykjavik is a blast! Sometimes you just have to dive in. Excited to see your finds
Wish you nothing but success! You have excellent taste and I look forward to seeing what you bring back. At the very least, it sounds like a ton of fun!
Obsessed with this whole story and the fact that you're chasing this dream, starting scared. I'm so proud of you! (You're one of those internet strangers who doesn't feel like a stranger at all, which is one of my favorite parts of the community you've built.)
Thank you for sharing your experience, your journey, and your truth so vulnerably and for not putting it behind the paywall (though I'll be upgrading once I have a paycheck again!). This part resonated in particular: "I KNOW I’m not the only one who feels stuck, unsure of the next chapter. It’s easy to let all the “what ifs” hold us back, and to feel like we have to have everything “figured out” in order to pursue an idea."
It's like you're in my brain—and what a relief to not feel alone. Safe travels, have a croissant (or 10) for all of us, and we can't wait to see what emotional and physical treasures you return with! ✨
This made me tear up 🥺 So many of us are in this together! This stage of life is so wonderful in so many ways, but I feel like professionally it feels like such a limbo-ish gray area for so many! So glad we aren't alone! You KNOW I will have MANYYYY croissants for you!! So many hugs to you Lia! ♥️
I’ve never related to something more than this entire post as a fellow creative. It is rough out here! Figuring out a way to stay inspired and creative, but also make money when working for yourself requires so much self reflecting and a lot of pivoting. Excited to shop your finds!
Super cool idea! Thank you for sharing the messy beginning- you’re so right that we need more of that!
So glad it resonated with you, Sarah. Your support means the world!

Exactly! I LOVE that you did that! Reykjavik is such a cool place! A+++ keeping that spontaneity alive!

Thank you so much, Tiffany! That means so much to me! ♥️ Exactly, at the very least–it'll be an incredible fun experience I'll never forget!
