Hiii and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here! ♥️

You may be wondering, “what the heck is Substack and why are you starting one, Jess?” Keep scrolling down to find out. 😉

(Or maybe you’re like “I don’t care, I already want in–in that case, just click the “subscribe” button already! 🙌🏼)

What you can expect to find here:

Well, in essence–Substack is the online community I’ve always wanted, but could never find all in one place–until now!

It’s a newsletter, yes, but also a blog (so you will never miss a post, I’ll always have your email address so we can stay in touch, and there’s no threat of Mark Zuckerberg just randomly shutting down my account and ceasing all communication with my Internet besties!)

There’s also an amazing chat feature where YOU ALL can finally meet one another and form amazing friendships and connections.

There’s a LIVE video feature, a podcasting feature, a way that I can record audio voice-overs of blog posts (so those of you who don’t have time to read them can LISTEN) and more.

Think of this as the place for more in-depth, more detailed, and more intimate conversations and deeper connections with myself as well as our wonderful community. (Because there really is only so much we can discuss given the character limits of a single Instagram story that only stays live for 24 hours, you know what I mean??)

This is a weird time in life, being in our thirties. (So many aspects I wouldn’t trade for anything, but also–a lot of “in between-ness.”) We’re all going through a lot of changes so quickly–and it can be isolating to feel like you’re the only one. But the reality is, we’re all in this together. ♥️

This is a place where I’ll share my musings and learnings as I navigate my thirties in hopes that my experiences can help improve your life in some small way–whether that be a great parenting tool I’ve discovered, a hack to make weeknight dinners easier, singing the praises of pelvic floor physical therapy, inviting you to join me in dismantling mom guilt, sharing in my love of clogs and great socks, making you laugh at my MANY squirrel-brained failures, (and of course, welcoming you to share yours too because who ISN’T A HOTT ASS MESS THESE DAYS!?) 😂….and more.

What you get as a FREE Substack subscriber:

  • A virtual hug from me because I’m so happy you’re here and I know it’s a big deal to give someone your email address. I don’t take that lightly!

  • Free membership to the “Hot Mess Aunties” club, which is the name I randomly came up with for my newsletter subscribers that may change at another date, but TBH, it really felt like “us” so we’re rolling with it! (“Aunties, because, of course–you’re June’s Aunties of course! And we all have a special bond that only Aunties can have!)

  • Reassurance that we’ll always have a way to be in touch that is not dependent on an algorithm and also gives us a way to connect off social media.

  • What you can expect in the Hot Mess Aunties club newsletter–(including, but not limited to…)

    • Roundups of crowdsourced answers on various “adulting” topics. (Maybe it’s various ways that none of us have our shit together. Maybe it’s the weird, random products we couldn’t live without. Maybe it’s a bunch of easy ways we cut corners to save our sanity.) We’re all in this together!!

    • Product highlights: What I’m obsessed with, what YOU’RE obsessed with (and maybe products that are overhyped?) as well as a roundup of links you might have missed shared on Instagram.

    • Thoughts and musings about topics we’re all going through together

    • Book reviews + what I’ve been reading lately

    • Access to the community chat. I truly have the most wonderful readers, and you all have so much in common. I’m so excited for you to meet each other! (Note at this time, only paid subscribers can start new threads in the chat!)

    • And of course a whole lot of other stuff. It’ll be a little bit of everything and you won’t really know what you’re going to get, but I promise it’ll be worth your time. 😉 The goal of this newsletter is to bring joy to your inbox in a way that is both funny and HELPFUL. (My goal is to always to bring you as much value as I possibly can!)

What you’ll get for being a paid subscriber:

I’m thinking of this as the NPR model–a reader-supported publication! If (and seriously, ZERO PRESSURE) you’ve enjoyed and found my free content to be valuable over the past decade, and feel excited about where this Substack is going, chipping in the equivalent of a latte (or less, if you like bougie lattes 🤪) goes so far in helping me grow this into the magical idea I have in my head. ♥️

As my thank-you for your contribution, paid subscribers can enjoy perks like…

  • Access to any extra features– like the ability to listen to audio versions of posts, access to recordings of any future “lives” and the ability to start new threads in the community chat so you can lean on one another for support on various topics, form friendships, plan local meetups with readers in your area, and more!

  • Access to more personal posts on more intimate subjects that I wouldn’t necessarily share widely/ publicly.

  • Access to in-depth motherhood content and guides that typically take me a REALLY long time to write. (Being able to get paid for these kinds of posts allows me to return to doing them again!)

  • My eternal gratitude for supporting my work, so I can keep producing more of this kind of content!

  • P.S. If becoming a paid subscriber is not in the budget for whatever reason, please email hello@jesskeys.com with the subject line SUBSTACK GIFT SUBSCRIPTION and I’m happy to gift you a membership.

What you’ll get for being a Founding Auntie:

A “Founding Auntie” is anyone who wishes to contribute a higher investment to my Substack, which gets you literally nothing other than a special checkmark next to your name and my immense, unwavering eternal love and devotion for your support–and also goes a long way in ensuring I can continue producing more and more reader-driven Substack content. I hope to continue to find ways to thank you in the future for believing in me in these early stages. ♥️

Thank you SO much for being here! I am so excited to have this new space for us, and I hope you’re excited too! ♥️

P.S. Don’t forget to download the Substack app for the best reading experience on mobile!
